La Fuente de canaletas se encuentra en La Rambla de Barcelona, concretamente en su primer tramo, el denominado Rambla de Canaletes. Se dice que su nombre proviene de una fuente que existía por la zona en el siglo XVI donde el agua bajaba por unas canaletas. Es costumbre en los foráneos beber de ella porque la tradición dice que: «Si beveu aigua de la Font de Canaletes, sempre més sereu uns enamorats de Barcelona, i per lluny que us n’aneu, tornareu sempre» (Si bebéis agua de la fuente de Canaletas, seréis para siempre unos enamorados de Barcelona y por lejos que os vayáis, volveréis siempre).
